At Hedgehog Fibres we encourage our dyers to be creative and not just follow recipes. Potluck™ skeins are one of a kind skeins created by our artisan dyers under the watchful eye of Beata, who trains all our dyers and oversees all colourway creations.Each set consists of 2x 100g Sporty Singles yarn in Kelp colourway and 1x Alpaca Boucle in Potluck colourway
Our Sporty Singles is a single ply sport weight yarn, 100% Merino wool, superwash, lofty and softly spun. At 300m/100g, it is slightly heavier than Skinny Singles, with the same amazing dye-ability and brightness of colours. Very soft and fluffy.
Alpaca Boucle is 66% Alpaca and 34% Silk, with delicate tiny boucles, which creates a yarn that is a great substitute for any mohair lace, whether used alone or as a carry-along yarn. 100g/620m.
Randomly dyed to prevent striping or pooling, as much as possible, our yarns create variegated effect that looks good in plain stockinette or advanced stitch motifs.
Hand-dyed in small batches in Cork, Ireland. Dyelots may vary though we represent every dyelot as accurately as possible in the product photos. Colours may vary from skein to skein, even within the same dyelot. If you buy more than one, we will do our best to match them up. Please ensure you buy enough to finish your project as future dyelots may vary. Please note, although we take great care in photographing our yarns, colours may vary slightly from monitor to monitor.
Additional Information
Gentle washing will keep your project beautiful for longer. For best results, hand-wash your finished project with a drop of detergent or wool wash. If combining light and dark colours, please swatch as the yarns may bleed. This is especially important if using deep reds. To minimise bleeding, hand-washing in cold water is the safest option.
