Description
125g of 100% Cheviot wool top. Hand dyed.
Cheviot wool is a durable, springy fiber from the hardy Cheviot sheep breed native to the Scottish borders. Known for its resilience and helical crimp, it is slightly coarser than Merino (around 27–35 microns), making it ideal for robust outer layers and heavy-duty socks. Rustic, natural feel. 125g in total.
This blend is not superwash.
Hand-dyed in small batches in Cork, Ireland. Please ensure you buy enough to finish your project as future dyelots may vary. Please note, although we take great care in photographing our yarns, colours may vary slightly from monitor to monitor.
Additional Information
Gentle washing will keep your project beautiful for longer. For best results, hand-wash your finished project with a drop of detergent or wool wash. If combining light and dark colours, please swatch as the yarns may bleed. This is especially important if using deep reds. To minimise bleeding, hand-washing in cold water is the safest option.
